Transitioning homes with a five year old?

We have been in Colorado since the beginning of December but are heading back to Manhattan tonight because Jane's school resumes on Monday. We often take our vacations elsewhere and stay weeks at a time, or if my husband's work takes him to the other side of the country, we may go for a week or two, as well. Each home has a bedroom for Jane and all of her things we have multiples of so she can feel at home wherever we are; even her bedrooms are all identical. But I can sense it being hard on her and we've been preparing her to go back to New York for a few days now, but how else can we make it easier for her? We try to keep things constant, Jane has a lovie that travels with her everywhere, and she is rarely lonely or alone, as we often bring a friend along and we also have a bustling house.
