Instinct is to stay by the ferris wheel, but that actually turns out to be rather hard. However, I do have a suggestion for a place to hold them off. If you Look across from where macmillan is, you should see that building with the empty pool. If you run along that building, toward the other side of it, there's a little narrow alley with a doorway, and closed doors, I believe. If you stay there, all the enemies will have to come from one direction. And if you go prone, and machine gun the enemies down, you'll be fine. Macmillan will take care of himself.
