How come people always make it out that the forces at Dien Bien Phu were all French Foreign Legion?

Aha.... But who can compete with the romance of the Foreign Legion? It made such good press. Sort of like the US Marines during the Ludendorff Offensive in 1918. No one remembers that most of the American troops involved in blocking the German advance were US Army, not Marines. It's what sells the papers....
