I'm bidding on an item, and the seller did NOT set a reserve, but he/she has decided that if the reserve is?

not met, they will not sell the item. That little piece of information was added after I had bid on the item. I've been using Ebay for a few years, and I have never encountered an unlisted reserve price, so I'm tempted to ask for a bid retraction because even if I win the item, I won't necessarily end up with the item at the end of the auction. To those of you, who have experienced a situation like this before, what would you suggest?
