Can I take my carryon bag with me on the tram to the main terminal at Orlando international airport?

I know you have to put your checked luggage on the conveyor belt from the arrival terminal to the main terminal at Orlando International, but I was wondering if you have to put your carryon bags as well, or can you carry them onto the trains that link the arrival terminal to the main terminal. Can anyone tell me what we can expect?
